The SRHC blog started up again in early May. There's a surprisingly large number of informative updates on it for a group that has been criticised in the past for a lack of transparency.Would've preferred Tea-Cup or Tangerine, not VR Blue and Gold, just for something different. X37 is being restored for passenger use only (I'd reckon PacNat insisted on that when they sold her). According to the blog she'll be going back to the VR Blue & Gold livery.
SRHC also acquired 3 of V/Line's remaining S cars (BS216, BS218, BS219). 707 Ops got BS215; BS217 is being used as a spare parts source for SRHC & 707 Ops.
Would've preferred Tea-Cup or Tangerine, not VR Blue and Gold, just for something different. I suppose it needs to match the rest of the carriage consist....SRHC call their passenger train consist 'The Blue Train' and have renamed their recent carriage acquisitions back to their Spirit of Progress-era designations. I'd wager that they aren't likely to paint any of their diesels or steel carriages into anything other than the VR Blue & Gold anytime soon.
