Greta Thunberg and namesake Coal Railways

Greta Thunberg has some namesakes that are strongly linked with railway stations in coal related areas.

There is East Greta Junction, which is the start of the mostly coal-hauling South Maitland Railway Pty Ltd.

There is also Greta station on the Great Northern Line, which may or may not have had sidings for coal traffic.

The whole coalfield might even be called the Greta Coalfield.

Since the SMR came first (by 100 years or more) in the scheme of things, if there is a conflict between Greta T. and her namesake, then Greta T. the anti-coal environmentalist is the one who has to change her name. What do others think?

East Greta Junction had/has a major marshalling yard with about 10 sidings and a locomotive depot. This yard has been trimmed in recent years, and the double line to the south (to Cessnock) reduced to single track. SMR engines used to exchange with NSWGR engines in the Up directions, and vise versa. With dieselisation, engine in block loads run straight through with no engine change. Passenger trains on the SMR no longer operate.

The Bug mentioned above seems to be that you have to add text outside the quote box, before you delete text outside the box.

Greta Thunberg should visit her namesake and learn something about coal railways. Sad

Sort of like your writing "you mean like this?" outside the quote box. The bug is more subtle. Maybe the Bug only occurs when quoting the first post. Needs more testing. Need too try the TEST thread.

If you are going to report a bug you need to supply all the relevant information. I've found problems quoting as you describe for a long time, it's not new.  I just go back and do it again in the sequence in which it works.

It is reassuring the someone else has already found a similar bug. I am having some trouble recreating it, even in the TEST Forum.

Notice that I cannot insert text of mine into someone else's quote. That is correct and proper. Maybe the problem occurs when you quote your own text and RP gets confused. I'll try that tomorrow as it is getting late? Sad /Sad /Smile /: - )/ Sad. Note that RP is ignoring the Happy Smilie. SmileSad

Correction. The Positive Smilie was printed like : - ) when editing it, but as Sad when printed out correctly after the post is SUBMITTED.

This looks like a second BUG.
