I think it is missing the freight closures as the above only has passenger closures.  He certainly closed a lot of Victoria passenger rail services with much not recovered.  East Gippsland the exception.

What about the return of pass services Ballarat-Ararat and Ballarat-Maryborough?
They happened during the Bracks era along with the Bairnsdale service.

I'm not certain this required a thread of its own, unless the intention was to have another whinge about the bad old Kennett days.

Really...after nearly 30 years...maybe it's time to consign Jeff to history and move on.

I am assuming the map is meant to show V/Line stations that were no longer serviced by passenger trains as a result of the Kennett cuts of 1993.

Whilst it is generally correct, I think there are a few errors.

I am pretty sure that former stations at Clyde, Tooradin, Creswick, Clunes, Talbot, Irymple and Yarroweyah had closed to passengers well before Kennett.  (Of course a number of the stations have since been reopened to passengers subsequent to Kennett.)

Obviously most of the lines included in the diagram remained open to freight during the Kennett era, it was only the passenger services that stopped.

Correct there. Dunolly was also closed to passengers. Irymple was open until the Vinelander stopped I believe?
The diagram above is pretty misleading if you ask me.

I thought the vlinelander called at Irymple until it was cancelled.

If our friend TheVinelander has his way the train isn't cancelled; it's just postponed.

I'd only call it a fair video.

1. No shots included the complete train, unless it was far distant.

2. Music is definitely an annoyance at any time when listening to steam.
