Okay yeah thanks - keep forgetting that DC is not a state.

It'll be interesting to see what happens with Biden and China - I have a theory that it'll be 'business as usual' with China which will mean they'll forget all about Trump's efforts to try and make them play fair and level the playing field. Trump was actually going to get them to drop the rule about needing an equal Chinese partner in any investment in that country but I guess that's all out the window now.

On the other hand Biden could be under a lot of pressure to continue the Trump trade war - a lot of US companies lose out badly because of the continued theft of intellectual property and the undermining of US patents.

Interesting state of play and a worthy comparison to back up the majority of our arguments...and to confirm the invalidity of others.

Hitting the ground running, President-elect Biden is meeting (Sunday US time) to compile a team to fight the Virus as soon as he takes over...bearing in mind he won't be inaugurated until 20 January, therefore there will be many thousands of more COVID-19 deaths before then:

https://www.nytimes.com/live/2020/11/07/world/covid-19-coronavirus-updates

Unfortunately a paywall.

Meanwhile President Trump is on the golf course:

Sums it all up perfectly.

Yep sums Trump up. But lets not get carried away. If it wasn't for Black Women, Trump may have won this election. Once again Black women have saved the Democrats. If Stacy Abrams did not register 800,000 in Georgia and engaged them, that state would still be red. If it wasn't for the magnificent black women in the Philadelphia area of Pennsylvania, the Dems would have struggled. If it wasn't for the work of Latasha Brown the founder of Black Votes Matter, Trump would have got up, because he has said before he liked the fact that black people did not vote. If it was not for the Navajo and Latinos in Arizona, that state would be still Red.

Kamala Harris seat is vacated now she is Vice-Pres. And sorry if you feel that this sounds racist, but if Karen Bass or Maxine Waters does not occupy that seat and they give to some mediocre white man then the Democratic Party aint learnt a damn thing.

Trump still hasn't conceded, and why should he? Would you walk off the football pitch two minutes from full time, saying you might as well because it looks like you've lost? An exciting last second goal is not out of the question! I do believe Biden will emerge victorious from this tussle, but the final whistle hasn't blown. Don't you wish we had a fighter like Trump going into battle for us against China?

You know what really frightens me is that 70 Million voted for him. A man who achieved basically nothing except a couple of small diplomatic wins in the middle east, killing a known terrorist and a couple wins on Trade against China. He is done little for the working class. In fact he removed $45 Billion from the food stamp program affecting the most vulnerable.

Here is a man who has ginned up his base so much that some were driven to actually attempting to kidnap an elected official and assassinate her. That stuff only happens in tin pot dictatorships.

Culture wars, do me a favour, they are just racists.

I’ve read recently, source maybe fox? Trump would concede/vacate the WH with conditions.
What bargaining power does he have now? And what could the conditions possibly be? Immunity for both himself and his family? You lost sport, get with the programme.

He’s tossed the toys out of the cot, and could adopt a scorched earth attitude on the way out.

Ironically, the election is rigged, simply because I don’t like the result. No issue if I was victorious.
And discouraging your supports not to participate in mail in ballots, how’s  that working for you?

It's so over for Trump that he's creating an embarassment for his country on the world stage. Comparisons to a game of footy are ridiculous.
Biden has at this stage 5,000,000 more votes than Trump, so even though the polls may have got it wrong to an extent, Biden's lead thus far is the equivalent to Melbourne and suburbs.

No, I don't want Trump advocating for me on absolutely ANYTHING at all for all the reasons that have been made in these pages and in the mainstream media as well.

Trump latest sacking of his Defense Secretary because he had the temerity to suggest to the orange man that he should consider his options. Trump really is an appalling excuse for a human being.

Trump is worried that once he sets foot outside the White House a set of handcuffs might be slapped on him. The possibility of this is firming up day by day.

As for Pompeo, he is sucking up to Trump because he might be a contender for the 2024 Presidential elections.

He doesn't need to concede if he thinks the votes will fall his way, however this is now basically impossible as Joe has the 270 count plus reserve as the 3 remaining states Biden is ahead in two and all of similar electrol votes quota.

You fight for the top job during the election campaign which effectively starts when you won the first time. You don't fight during a count, you sit back and wait for America's democracy process run its course.

What Trump should have done is not concede and made a Stateman like statement saying his advisors have said to wait for the final tally and all checks and balances and thank the people for his support and Biden for a hard race. What he did was prove once again he is an idiot for which other idiots to follow and again drove a wedge into American society.

Businesses in the US also loose out to the increased price of raw material. Canada was about to give a real "smeg you" over aluminium tarrifs.

Oh, and all those farmers in the midwest that cant sell their product? They're being subsidised. But dont call that socialism, they'll scream at your face at how it's going to lead to the downfall of the world.

I also think Puerto Rico actually voted to become a state too.

Only in referenda which were actually (like Brexit) non-binding plebiscites with no legal status, and there hasn't been a strong result achieved in any of them so far.

The 2012 referendum was a well organised two question process which first asked voters about the territory status (narrow 54-46 majority to No) and then asked No voters which other model they favoured (61% statehood, 33% free association, 5% independence).

The 2017 referendum saw major boycotts that reduced turnout to 22%, meaning the 97% vote for statehood could not be taken seriously by anyone.

If there is a conclusive result in a referendum, it's then another process to get the US Congress to pass legislation admitting Puerto Rico to the USA.

The aluminium tariff's against Canada is BS. The US aluminium industry is in decline and not a serious player anymore. the cause for decline is not due to dumping but rather lack of affordable long-term power contracts. The US either needs Canada's aluminium or foreign aluminium such as us in UAE and they are also a major buyer of Russian aluminum.

Billy your bias is absolutely troubling. There is NO EVIDENCE because the GOP haven't supplied any. Trump lost. He is a racist, crooked, imbecile.

And it makes no sense. The Senates votes are legal, but the Presidency vote which is on the same ballot is not legal. Seriously!!

This is how stupid it is. Errol Webber (a house negro if i ever saw one) is not conceding his race. He lost to Karen Bass, this is the result;

Karen Bass    (Dem)    224,798    86.4%
Errol Webber (GOP)       35,499    13.6%

That dumba$$ got his backside whupped by 72.8% and he is going to contest the count! Stuck on stupid, which is par for the course for most Trumpanzees.

Kim Klacik another one who is trying to cast doubt, well hers was a cliffhanger, she lost by only 43.6%

Kweisi Mfume     (Dem)   213,156  71.8%
Kimberly Klacik  (GOP)      83,752  28.2%

So no credit is afforded to Trump and his sycophants at all, two faced petty snowflakes the lot of them. He is a grifter, a liar and crooked af. It's a pity you cannot see or accept it.

One has some sympathy for genuine Republican voters, who likely comprised at least 50% of Trump’s votes. They didn’t really have a choice. Deep down they are probably relieved. The late John McCain is doubtless resting a lot easier.

Trump won’t be back in 2024. The Republican party is not going to nominate an unhinged 78-year-old candidate who, by his own standards, is a loser. Trumpism is a failed business model; at both elections he has not gained a majority of the overall vote and only got in, in the first instance, because of the vagaries of the Electoral College. If he can afford it and stands as an independent (to be vindictive), he’ll just split the Republican vote. No Democrat is going to vote for him.

He’s had his shot at the title of Greatest and blew it bigtime.

Most people don't vote for the leader of a party which is why a relatively small percentage of voters decide elections. Now a leader can influence those voters and he managed to encourage more people to vote him out.

President 'it's all about me' 's petulance is hardly surprising. He's just someone never denied anything who can't comprehend rejection. What is he prepared to see happen next?
