My current project - Waubra Junction to Waubra - is coming along nicely.  Trackwork is complete as far as Ballarat Racecourse but there's still a lot of texturing to go.

Here's a couple of early screenies....

More to come as the line progresses.....
Big thanks to Jerker for the DEM data files & thanks too to the VR rollingstock creators!
Cheers,

Nice shots Dreadnought. Are there any sessions planned for this route?!

And will it be available on the DLS?

Overall the route looks good! Very Happy

Still working on the project.  Finishing off trackwork at Ballarat Racecourse and Pisgah at the moment with initial tracklaying as far as Blowhard.  Just did some landscaping around Waubra Junction to see how things looked and do a couple of screenies.

I'll do some more screenies soon when I've got the Racecourse area finished and landscaped.

When all finished, I'll be setting up some sessions.  I'll do a hypothetical 2006 version too - with export Container traffic al-la-Boort out of Waubra and Blowhard...

My intention is that all will go on the DLS when finished!

Cheers,

Should have mentioned this too...

To make it all as best I can, I'm using:
- 1928 VR W&W Track Charts
- 1927 VR Grades Diagram
- original 1880's line survey
(for which I've tabulated all relevant track data)
- Army Survey Map (1970's - still showed the line as open!)
- current 1:30,000 VicMaps
- Adrian Ponton's book "Waubra: A History of a Branch Line
- Keith Turton's article about the line in the 1969 ARHS Bulletin
- 1930's VR water supply diagram of Waubra station
(showing the complete layout of the station reserve including DRs).
- DEM data files (a big help with thanks to "Jerker" from the Trainz Forum)

Only thing I'm still looking for is the VR W&W list of level crossings by M.C.L from Melbourne...

Cheers,

More screenies now that Racecourse is nearly finished...

BTW, if anyone has any photos of the line, I'd be very happy to see them and change the line accordingly (where practicable....)
