Rough day for the resistant anti-vaxxers in Vic. Can't say I'm surprised.
I know a few people who are steadfastly refusing to be vaxxed and they are starting to see what their near future is going to be like - stuck at home in the main while the rest of us start to be allowed out and about
Dark days indeed for some people. I'm not passing judgement on them but mental health of some of these people will become a big factor I think.
On another note we got caught up in the road blocks around North Melbourne yesterday while trying to deliver a package to a customer in Richmond. I don't support the protesters at all but seeing police road blocks on every street into town was pretty confronting
We encountered one in Arden St and traffic was backing up across the intersection so we did a rightly in Curzon St where there was another one ahead. Left into Queensberry where we were stopped and checked before being allowed to move on. Driving up Queensberry I looked left from the passenger seat up each street we crossed through Carlton and every one had red and blue flashing lights
A quick right - left into Victoria St headed for 3121 and as we drove down the hill there was traffic as far as the eye could see in the opposite direction heading towards town as the road was blocked and all traffic was being funnelled into one lane with a booze / drug bus on hand and every motorist being questioned about their movements
it was a surreal and very sobering experience, something that I never thought I would see in Australia
