I really think that Dovetail Games TS is just the worst game ever made

Well, clearly the title gives it away!

* The lack of tutorials and guides
* Poor community
* Dovetail Games support is poor, they rather NOT be helpful at all and expect users to understand the out of this world language they explain in their developer documents
* Zero absolutely nothing Australian
* US, UK and Germany routes and rollingstock and addons are just becoming too "Stale"
* The stupid requirement of needing an API key from Google to use the Google Maps overlay which you can't use historical maps and it cost a bloody fortune "Greedy Google"
* Certain types of points: NO points curves, x-overring from a track A to a track C configuration is possible but extremely hard to do, sometimes points do not work where you want to add points
* Editor crashes regularly
* No EASY way to get new rolling stock into the game or add any models into the game

I can't move onto Trainz Simulator because of

* Childish graphics, looks unrealistic and causes me to have massive headaches
* Dependencies after dependencies and you guessed it more dependencies when downloading addons doesn't matter what it is
not all dependencies can be downloaded or even found on the DLS

I really think MSTS is the only winner I have

* Great communities
* 1000's of tutorials, guides and even helpful solutions

Negative side of MSTS is it doesn't work on Windows 10 and Windows 11, regardless of the user's that has it working on both versions of Windows "Get a new laptop or pc" then tell me how to fix it

I really think I've had enough of Dovetail Games TS, can't even get anything into the game! No wonder there's nothing Australian

Stumbles across TS2012?, in a bargain bin for about 5 bucks, sometime ago. Lots of broken stuff.
Haven’t indulged for recently, in fact about to uninstall altogether. And terminate steam  account.
Some freeware from rail works America, Saluda grade is worth a look.
IIRC, Tumulla in NSW and the Newnes shale railway was available for another sim.

I do have the Tumulla Bank route for TS20xx but the issue is that there's just no way to enjoy it without rolling stock and of course it's just too short

Example: Back in the MSTS years when there was a few Australian routes, the Tumulla Bank had rolling stock users can create activities and enjoy the route. Later years Brian Bere-Streeter made an excellent expansion to the Tumulla Bank route. Well it's more incorporated in a new route and it just looks EXCELENT

If the Tumulla Bank route in TS20xx had the same expansion and of course there was rolling stock, this route would be more enjoyable. The same goes for the Bell to Lithgow route in TS20xx "Personally it would have been better if the author made the full Blue Mountains route" I wouldn't be here listing my complaints!

I know that route building in TS20xx is super easy! Except when it comes to adding scenery can be a challenge. It's not like MSTS where you need to convert gradient units into a stupid formula that somehow magically works if you know what your doing. It took me years to finally work it all out but... I still have not released a route, this is probably because changing from Windows 7 to 10... And yeah!!

I didn't want to move on to Trainz simulator due to it's childish graphics, Trainz to me is like a cartoon in 3d so I managed to find TS2019 at the time because it works on Windows 10.. And yet I still can't figure out how exactly to add my models into the game or even build a full route without using the Google Maps overlay rubbish but I understand how it all works, it's weird

Anyway... This game really needs MORE Australian content. It's just rubbish seeing UK, USA, German routes and rolling stock in every single train simulator game ever made... I don't know! Maybe there should be an ALL AUSTRALIAN TRAIN SIMULATOR with only Everything Australian you can see how everyone would be mad... Right?
