    Further clue: with regard to goods traffic, the station served an industry that has given pleasure to millions.

    Nor was I; it's clearly a matter for some research.  (Not that it's really relevant; there are other forms of pleasure in the world, but discussion of the topic probably falls outside the ambit of this forum.)

    Thinks: is a siding serving a sex shop better termed a sidling?

    It does indeed!  And seriously, you have the right answer with Dennington.

    Mainline through passenger trains no longer stopped there from August 1956, but the Warrnambool-Dennington workers' train continued until August 1957.  Passenger facilities had been removed by the end of the decade.  It became a terminus in 1977 when the line beyond to Port Fairy closed, and the line beyond VicWest Siding was booked out in the 2000s.

    In its last operating years, the major customer was Nestle - and if chocolate doesn't give pleasure to millions, I don't know what does.  (Well I do, but I'm not going to go into that again!)

    Nice ideas there, Faredodger. I think some guys (myself included) got trapped thinking about the school train that used to run from Echuca on the Toolamba line, usually a 102hp Walker and three trailers.

    You also might think some of us have a dirty mind…

    Well, three fine guesses there. None of them on the right line, though.

    Passengers looking out the windows may easily see rails/sleepers of the (now disconnected) siding.

    This place usually has several passenger trains pass daily, subject of course to the usual litany of excuses.

    Ok, we are looking for a closed station on a line which sees several passenger trains daily; the place was associated with the military, much of the siding remains visible.

    Not Mangalore, Dysart, Mulwala, Armitage, Seymour or Fulham (though several good ideas, which I hadn’t thought of, must remember them).

    None of the guesses are in the correct District (counting the traditional Working Time Tables).

    Well done by Kitchgp, Sandhurst it is.

    Located between North Bendigo and California Gully, the siding ran into the defense factory, now privately owned and currently producing the Bushmaster vehicles sought by the Ukraine Government.
