T6 line is a short part of the project ... major earth works and a few bridges just for the T6 section ..
It has been duplicated except for one bit under the bridge at carlingford. A new bridge over kissing point road but utilising the existing alignment and no significant earthworks.The Carlingford line is mostly single line. Never was fortunate enough to catch the T6, but the ROW always looked like it was intended to be dual track, or at least easily converted to be dual track, with the cumberland hwy bridge being the exception and this was done probably 50 years back when they didn't care.It has been duplicated except for one bit under the bridge at carlingford. Since tracks were taken up in 2020, what will happen to the land of the alignment between Parramatta rd crossing and Camellia?camellia is a light rail stop with the race course section would be the dive tunnel for the metro and the rest has been marked as a service road to parramatta rd ..

Glad to see this project get budget approval finally. A lot of people in Wentworth Point are really happy about this. (I’m hoping it will take some pressure off T9 as well.)Don'tt hink it will cost that much.
I’m assuming it will cost at least a few billion, maybe $3-4B? So $600M is a good start, but it will need similar/higher levels of funding over several years to see it through.
Would be good to get more bipartisan support/less bickering on these kinds of projects. There’s every likelihood that we will see two more elections before LR2 is operational.
