707 Ops have quite the diesel loco fleet building up.
T387 - standard gauge - stored at South Dynon in CFCLA livery
T413 - broad gauge - under restoration (major rust removal and repaint) - at Newport
A62 - broad gauge - pending restoration after T413 is finished - expect V/LINE Orange and Grey livery - at Newport
Y127 - broad gauge - recently repainted into a very smart V/LINE Orange and Grey livery
H3 - broad gauge - still in faded old Freight Australia livery and does not get to lead.
H5 - broad gauge - still in faded old Freight Australia livery but does get to lead.
S306 - broad gauge - still in tired old Pacific National livery (PN still own it, but let 707 pretty much do what they want with it in turn for 707 letting PN store some of their locos in 707's yard at Newport) - No ICE radio, it probably would need a bit more work than just that for it to lead.
I expect when 707 Ops do get around to repainting
A62 it will join their Y127 in the original V/LINE livery allthough I would love to see it appear in a fresh VLPmkII (Red and Blue) livery as it would go beautifully with all of their dark red carriages but I don't hold out too much hope. Also, as I am not contributing to it any way, I will take what every they do with it as a win. I don't expect work on that to start until after T413 has been finished.
For Standard Gauge work,
S306 would probably be a better bet over any of the As or Ns as it at least would be permitted to run North of Albury.
Also, yesterday 707 Operations have confirmed that the following carriages have been handed over from V/Line to 707 Operations:
ACN48 BRN43BN5BN22ACN45
These carriages are currently being housed at Rail Connect's Ettamogah Rail Hub.
