Info boards are from the early 90's, way out of date.  A silly place for a lookout - not often a loco moves around there, and with on-track wheel replacements happening, not a lot of wagon shunting ta ...

PN crews for the start, then they will get their own crews. Hay Point sign on and FIFO Moranbah sign on.  Offer better conditions than Aurizon or PN and they will have plenty of drivers willing to go ...

I was told that the South Africans were amazed at the kitchen on the 38's when they had a look!

Drivers from other depots have stated that the conditions aren't so good a Jilalan.  I signed on for the roster with long weekends (5 and 4 day weekend alternating) every (8 week) cycle, and that ro ...

I don't know if it will be "en mass", but I am pretty sure that the advertising will be local.  The mass 2007 intake (which I was part of) has pretty well failed, most of my class have left Jilalan.   ...

3200 class are all gone, all converted to 37's.  The 31's are all sitting in the dead end at Jilalan, no 31 consists being used on the Goonyella system anymore.  ELRC's are sitting in the sticky coal  ...

The last train on the Goonyella system was EW56 which ran from Jilalan to 4 road Coppabella to be stowed, in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

There are two guard vans at Coppabella, they were listed for sale on the Australian Train Movers website, but they are no longer listed.  There is another one at Jilalan.  I was taking a photo of the  ...

A lot of the 50km/h and all of the 80km/h points in the Goonyella system have moveable vee's.  I agree that the difference between the 50km/h and 80km/h is the length.  Probably a higher axle loading  ...

Probably has a moving vee in the frog as well as the point blade.  Less wear as there is no gap in the track to go across.

3815 has been fitted with Australian Standard compliant insulation, and has passed the noise test.
