Great to see the changes in the Blue Mountains on the weekend, much needed. The Southern Highlands has gotten worse though. On weekdays the Goulburn-Sydney service arrives later about 10:47 I think. M ...

5 years on from the first post by Watson374 and no confirmation of the replacement fleet yet, what a first class public transport our state has Laughing.

The meal offering they give now is an improvement of what it was under the Countrylink brand, even if its still not cafe/restaurant quality.  Interesting that there used to be a Canberra service via L ...

[quote=Radioman]Hello All ,

When I travelled on Sydney Suburban some twenty or more years ago there was a fad of having Next Station boards at the departure end of the platforms . Is this still don ...

Am I the only one here that is just pleased to see the end of rollingstock that is 40 (ish) years old? As long as the seats are  more comfortable than the H sets that's all that really matters. As for ...

Can anyone confirm the purpose of this run? Was it a mechanical run as rumoured or are there thoughts to have a southern equivalent of the Bathurst Bullet?

Movements of N7 as posted by Nathan Ashley  ...

[quote=simstrain]Full as in full to the brim. No more standing room unless you were to pack people in like sardine cans as they do in Japan.

Don't be so sure that the T4 will take over Erskineville ...

No point anyway since they are an asset that is of decreasing use with complete extinction on the Sydney Trains network likely in 5 years.

ROI in regional rail is low. Passengers are frequently those of the less mobile with concession tickets, so revenue will never be high with regional rail even with new rolling-stock. Add to that, the  ...

That one doesn't seem to have an entry for Wagga?
Its Intercity data, not Countrylink/Regional. There is no public data that has stats for Wagga etc to my knowledge.

Ok, lets assume for a moment there are no technical issues with extending it to Wagga and focus on its funding. I can tell you NSW will not pay for any of it. The government has almost exclusively foc ...

Those newspaper articles are very interesting, who else agrees about the line proposal?

This allows quick turn-arounds and improved public transport to towns between Lithgow and Orange, rather than relying on a Dubbo XPT to go to Sydney. With the shorter runs, OTR for the N sets will be  ...

I would propose Orange-Lithgow shuttles to connect with V sets to Sydney. The V-set connections are limited stops between Katoomba and Sydney to speed up the trip. Timetable is here, along with other  ...

Regarding commuter car park fees, would this be uniform across Sydney trains and even NSW trains or just particular spots? There is a problem since paper tickets have not been eradicated just yet but  ...

Crew training has begun for road knowledge and it will be an extension of the Bathurst Service

So it'd be Orange-Central? That's a long trip.....I'm guessing it'd start be ...

Watch this space. Soon to Orange

That rumour is 12 months old, trains are not going to Orange.

I looked it up, it was 85 - Thanks Smile

Thanks. Below link shows station details: Picton

Can't recall where that bridge is but going by the green fencing I'll hazard at guess at Picton (85km).
