That's quite a long time between drinks!  The last 3700 headed North in early March.

The above would be a Q you'd have for Goninans/QRN in your article, have you asked yet??
  M636C Minister for Railways

Are any conversions to 3700 being performed in other UG Rail plants?

The first three were done in Townsville.

Have any been modified at Chullora, or anywhere other than Broadmeadow?

Ahhh very true.  I will ask them.

Do you know why there has been a big delay?

M636C, the locomotives are started at UGR Townsville and completed at UGR Broadmeadow.  I do not believe that any other plant is involved.  At this point, I do not know what work is done at each location.

Early in the piece of hearsay was lack of trade staff to undertake such a big project at the contractors and the typical ironing out of bugs in a new locomotive/tc system.

I sighted yesterday another 3200? heading south from Townsville on the back of a truck heading for broadmeddow. It had been spripped plated over the #2 end cab and had been sandblasted ready for the rebuild.

I saw a complete 3700 on the back of a low-loader jetting through Wacol on the Ipswich Motorway about 3 o'clock this afternoon. Didn't catch the number unfortunately, but I'm guessing 3713 by 4705-44201NB's post on the prior page?

You're right, it was QR 3713.  The Locomotive will be heading North to Yukan/Jilalan on #Y243 on Tuesday, if all goes according to plan.

Why was AC4000's thread in the Queensland board locked? His photos do not appear in here.

3714 is being loaded on to a low loader at UGR Broadmeadow now 13.00 24/6. It should be departing mid afternoon.
  AC4000 Train Controller

I have asked for the thread to be unlocked so people can discuss the modes of transport used not the locos which was the intention.
I think I may have stolem somebodys glory by posting them but that's just too bad.

The photos posted by AC4000 were not taken by John Van Den Bosch even though they were labelled with 'AC4000.'  They were distributed by QR Corporate Affairs yesterday "courtesy of QR."
