I am sorry, I did not realise; its my turn. I will do it ASAP  when I find some good photo, meanwhile take this photo as my appology, it is from Zagreb where I am at the moment.

As I am 18.000 km away (for another week), I “borrowed” one nice photo… so let’s go…

I interpret the response as indicating that I am a winner.
Anything on the hard drive could well have been used before, so you may have to wait for a fresh scanning session on Saturday (which could possibly still be Friday night in Zagreb).

It is still Friday in Melbourne (but not NZ).

Yes, you are.... Moomba 2000, Swanston street

The time difference is minus 10 hours. It's -1 Celsius here with some light snow... and I will go back (home) to experience another temperature shock…

Sydney Road , near North Coburg Terminus ?

Away and racing.
Not Sydney Rd near North Coburg terminus.

The response has reminded me to remind you all: not just the road in which the photo was taken, but the nearest major crossroad or landmark is needed to provide a sufficent response (so the rejected entry matched the style, just chose a wrong location).

Please don't answer: 'Whatever Rd, near the church'.  You would have to nominate which church.

Yes, I got the other one from Moomba context, not from available geographical clues.

Although the church / hall is not correctly aligned , will try Melville Road near Hope Street , West Brunswick

Have the full view.  This photo was so generic that I didn't need to go for multiple levels of cropping.

The problem with photos of landmarks is that they are impossible if not your suburb, and trivial if they are.
I'll wait for a further sprinkling of participants, as we should have most areas covered by then.

I didn't think that this one would stall.  Have extra clues:
Not any stretch of Sydney Rd, Melville Rd or Plenty Rd.

Glenhuntly road, approaching South Caulfield Junction. I think the nearest cross street is Royal Parade?

An excellent answer, matching my notes and memory (and a Google Earth view).
The only thing which I couldn't do was crosscheck that the road was having the tracks relaid that month (Aug.69).

Glenhuntly Rd, approaching South Caulfield Jn (from the west), near Royal Pde.  The church with the distinctive square topped tower shows as Roman Catholic in Melway.

Control handle to M Silsby.

Okay.

Its in Melbourne City, near a major railway station.

It might not be there (the sign combo) as I haven't been that way for quite some time. This is the full pic, nothing added or taken away. NOT photoshopped. Eu Natural.

good work.

I never did quite figure out how to do a u-turn in a tram - unless they mean change ends/direction, but then you would be bang-roading, which is against the rules anyway!
