They say that QLD will need as many Tradesmen/women as they can get across all construction trades to rebuild the place as quickly as can be done.

WE have over 10,000 members on here so hopefully some will sign up to help.
REMEMBER if it was you needing help in your town/city/suburb they would be in it to help.

Greg, SES teams from South Oz are already on the ground in Queensland, along with specialist police divers, and specialist search and rescue personel from the MFS and Sapol.
More are scheduled to go up soon, and will be continuing to do so on a rotating basis.
The first team to volunteer and head up were SES members from Port Lincoln, with a team member saying "We wanted to say Thank You by repaying the efforts of Queensland crews who flew down and helped us out in the Port Lincoln bushfires"

Well it has only been open for 2.5 hours so I dont expect EVERYONE to read it within that short timeframe. Not everyone lives on their PC.

I have registered, however I was told today that there are too many volunteers here in Toowoomba and I cant get back home yet due to the floodwaters closing the highways and most backroads.

Greg, don't forget there are a lot of silent members here who read, but don't post anything. They are the sensible type of individuals who have probably already rushed to donate money to the cause, and those that can, are probably considering volunteering, just doing so silently. The good folks are the ones that just get in and do it without making a show, so it wouldn't surprise me if this thread only got comments of support, without people saying "I'm doing it", because they'll be too busy doing it to post.

As I said earlier, good on you mate, the more skilled hands the better. I wish all those people going to help all the best.

Absolutely agree. Even with the suffering and the affect this is having on Queenslanders, I sincerely hope this isn't lost at all amongst it all.
