Just after any information on when these were upgraded to the current wagons and what happened with the ex anr/an wagons, have there ever been any reproduced as a HO model?

Cheers

End of the line hobbies do a model kit of these wagons in HO it has only recently been released. It can either be purchased as original or later with hungry boards on the top from memory so you have a choice. A while back in the Catchpoint it was announced that some of these wagons were getting cut down in length and being used somewhere, I think it was WA from memory.

Many (no idea how many) were rebuilt by Bluebird at Islington Works for use on Koolyanobbing to Esperance iron ore trains. Not sure if they are still in use or not.

Just looking through my log book(examiners) and the closest date that rings a bell for the transfer of the first rake of NHFF hoppers from Parkes to Adelaide (presumably Dry Creek) was train 2GA5 Goobang Junction to Adelaide the weekly sweeper/pickup train from Parkes on the 8/9/97 at 1500 ex Goobang which was a solid block of these hoppers ex Newcastle/Port Waratah.

Hopefully this helps.

There must have been some other reason for that movement.

The last ASR operated Leigh Creek coal train was 30 January 1999.

The first FreightCorp movement was 6 February 1999.
