Just to add some fuel to the fire how many scientists and experts in the past have been wrong on things to be honest probably quite a lot of them over the years. Things like body part transplants were the things from Science Fiction back when I was young but today they are done every day. Some experts years back said electricity was the work of the devil and would never be of any use anyway and there are a lot more examples as well. But some one who thought better than them did some more investigation and found out it was possible and how to use it. Just the same as anything we take for granted today.
Thomas Edison thought DC power was the way to go till Nicola Tesla thought otherwise, but Edison even today is held up as the expert in electricity when really Tesla was the expert and better electrical engineer as well, but even Tesla would have made some mistakes.
Also all these modern day type of experts that have university degrees etc are text book experts in most respects as any one these days can get a uni degree it is easy enough if you have the nouse but getting the degree does not make you an expert in anything unless you have the experience to back it up though. Engineers are good examples with some modern designs of things simply collapsing and it has happened because some young engineer just did not have the experience in the field, he had the theory part all right though. Sure it has happened in the past Bridges etc have collapsed because of poor design in the first place so experts can and do make mistakes sometimes huge ones.
As has been said the experts are only human and humans do make errors a lot.
I am not saying climate change experts are wrong, but then again they could be couldn't they. It is possible.
