Does anyone here Put their locomotives in Multiple and wire them together?

    Hi All,

    I had a potential article on my desktop this morning for the Rail Modeller Australia. I am wondering if any of you have your diesel locos permanently wired tgether to assist with tracking over potentially dirty track either in DC or DCC modes? And if so would you be prepared to make a few notes on what you have done?

    I do this to a couple of old Lima diesels on DC.   Two wires, +ve & -ve (from each side of the motor) between the units.  No stalling on dirty tracks or insulfrog points.  Smooth running (well for Lima anyway.)

    Yep - done it for years. All my old Powerline 48s were wired up in pairs. Because those locos only had a "half-live" pickup, it did wonders for the running qualities of what was a very ordinary mechanism. highly recommended.
