I mentioned in another thread had Trump been in for another term would this conflict have occurred, Don Dunstan said no, which is think is completely nuts! of course it would have, Hamas was itching for a good fight with Israel, this whole thing just now escalated back in April, there were daily battles between Israeli police and Palestinians , + forced evictions from East Jerusalem of Palestinian families which inflamed the situation. in no way can you compare Joe Biden getting elected to what is going on now, that's just loony bin stuff!!

So I'll ask you again, the $240,000,000 or so that Biden gave to the Palestinian Authority as 'aid' had nothing whatsoever to do with Hamas suddenly finding money for rockets to launch at Israel? That was after four years of Trump giving them nothing because he correctly called them out as a terrorist organisation. They have money for weapons now and it's just a coincidence? Please, it's got Joe Biden's fingerprints all over it.

Even Democrats in Congress are blaming Joe for what's happened:

I don't care what the Democrats in congress are saying, the fact of the matter is this latest situation has nothing whatsoever to do with Joe Biden, Hamas and Israel have been at each others throats for decades, nothing can change that fact, yes Hamas are a terrorist group, Hamas are also backed by Iran and other countries as well BTW.

I see my statement has not been refuted, therefore, I must be correct, Biden has NOTHING whatsoever to do with this conflict.

WHY not just put all 'politics' stuff here - Newspoll today:

Poor Albo's leadership of the ALP must surely be at death's door with these sorts of numbers. 26 percent would prefer someone they didn't know to Albo.
  doyle Chief Commissioner

Debt and deficits are totally OK now, cool
wage growth going backwards, cool
tax cuts for the rich, cool.
No real vision no real policies, cool
Now that's something to vote for. Shocked

Dishonest Don at his best. 26% of people said they didn't know who they'd prefer as P.M, not that they'd prefer somebody they didn't know to Albo. When a regular poster is so blatantly dishonest about something simple like this, one has to question his mental stability and/or motivations. I must agree though, President Trump had a much healthier attitude to Israel than President Biden.

Impossible to imagine the Labor Party doing anything different - they were miffed in their budget reply because irresponsible big spending budgets are THEIR turf.

Biden is still trying to make up his mind on the whole thing - like the New York Times article at the start of this thread says, he's not known for his ability to make quick decisions and no doubt America's adversaries are going to exploit that.

Perhaps it was more of the off-beat humour that went right over our heads again...

What 'escape' - the facts speak for themselves... but as usual you'd rather play the man.

Twenty six percent said "don't know" when confronted by the choices - it's the same thing as saying "anyone but those two - but especially not Albo". It's got to reflect worse on Albo than it does on ScoMo - who was at almost fifty percent. This is a really dreadful result - YET AGAIN - for the Labor Party and with less than twelve months to go to the next federal poll they desperately need to buy a clue.

Someone woke up Sleepy Joe and told him to call Hamas ... ABC;

US President Joe Biden has had his first phone call with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas since taking office, amid heavy fighting between Israel and Palestinian militant groups in the Gaza Strip.

Mr Biden has dispatched an envoy to try to quell the violence that has killed over 150 people, but US, regional and international efforts have yet to show any signs of progress.

Mr Biden "stressed the need for Hamas to cease firing rockets into Israel", and the two men "expressed their shared concern that innocent civilians, including children, have tragically lost their lives amidst the ongoing violence", a summary of the call released by the White House said.

Watching Joe Biden's facile attempts at diplomacy is truly depressing.

Sure the facts speak for themselves; you stuffed it up.
When billybaxter quite rightly pinged you, you claimed it was a joke; now you're trying to tell us it was fair dinkum. You're the only joke here.

So no actual comment about the current abysmal state of the Labor Party?

Thought not.

This could also be read as 26 percent would prefer someone they didn't know to Morrison too.

But hey, let's word it in a way to get a bite because that'll be fun Rolling Eyes

I think you need to loosen your blue tie Don, not that you'll admit you're a Liberal fan boy, it's cutting off the blood supply to your brain!

I'm sure even Don's most hated leader Biden would be smart enough to know to shut up.

Starts a thread bashing Biden, after being called out tries to throw an unrelated Australian poll up, called out again tries to claim it as a joke, complains we're "playing the man" because literally no one is agreeing, what else are you going to pull mate?

Any idea of the definition of insanity sir? Because you're being exactly that...did your carer get bored of your drivel?

The 45th President of the United States is saying he will run again in 2024, but seriously, who will vote for him after all his stuff up's, from promoting Hydroxychloroquine which hasn't been peer reviewed as yet, from saying that Covid-19 could be treated with Ultra-Violet light, then leading an insurrection of the Capitol building, what??? this bloke can't be serious.

I've Googled that and I can't find any reference to him formally announcing his candidacy in the 2024 election.

No sorry that's not right. He's strongly hinted at it but hasn't announced a formal candidacy. From Fox;

Pressed for a third time on the possibility of running for office at the conclusion of Biden's first term, Trump responded, "First of all, it's [in] a long time.

"Look, I've got tremendous numbers ... there is more popularity [for me] now than there was the day before the election, because they see how bad things are at the border. They see what is going on, they see that their guns are gonna be gone ... their taxes are going up. Regulations are going through the roof. Job [losses] are going to go up...

"So," he concluded, "I say this. I am looking at it very seriously. Beyond seriously. From a legal standpoint, I don’t want to really talk about it yet. it's a little too soon."
