Emu Plains?
Valvegear
Correct!

"Flightless" usually refers to Flightless Birds: Kiwi, Chicken or Emu
"Aircraft" is Helicopter or Plane. So Flightless Aircraft can be a Kiwi Helicopter, or an Emu Plane.
"As far as the eye can see" is a reference to a Plain.

Over to Valvegear.

Thanks, Valvegear.
By name, this station should have a good view - the Romans could place five ballistae there!

Bella Vista?

Neither Fairfield nor Loftus could cope with five (V in Roman numerals) ballistae (like a kind of giant crossbow),
but combined the name of Bella Vista emerges (sorry Valvegear, another anagram). I have no idea if there are bella vistas at Bella Vista, but with that name there certainly should be fair fields to view.... Faredodger has the road - and hopefully, a ticket!

I wouldn't have thought of Bella Vista anyway; I didn't know there was such a place in Sydney . . . shows how long it is since I was last there.

I shouldn't recommend your trying to get there now, Valvegear.

The suburb is named after a homestead which was originally part of a larger property on which John and Elizabeth Macarthur bred sheep.  The name does not originate from the Macarthurs' time, but from that of subsequent owners, the Pearce family.

Thanks, T777.  New clue:

Lachlan is in the gully.
  Old Northern Junior Train Controller

It's probably not right, as I don't see what connection there could be between fields and gullies, but lets get rid of the obvious first:

Macquarie Fields

I think Lachlan is fielding in the gully; next to the three slips, so I reckon Old Northern's got it!

You're bang on, Valvegear.  Lachlan does indeed field in the gully next to the one, two or three slips, depending on how attacking the field is.  And Old Northern's got it; the answer is Macquarie Fields.

Over to you, Old Northern.
  Old Northern Junior Train Controller

Well, I thought it had to be something with Macquarie in the name but, not being a sporting type, it didn't occur to me that there was a second meaning to the word gully.......

Next one: The Prime Minister is beheaded.

Como?  No such place as Cummo or Cotty from Arketing... is there?

T777

Yes, (S)como it is.
