A former railway station (now closed) on the Melbourne to Ballarat line the station is located on the down side of Bacchus Marsh. The location is an interesting one from an historical viewpoint as it was once the location of a branch line to the once used Maddingley Mine. The Maddingley Mine provided coal via rail to the former APM Fairfield Branch Line. There is talk about the coal coming again from Maddingley Mine.
Many passenger services and some freight services which are not run via Geelong to Ballarat. Empty grain and Mildura traffic has been seen on this line.
Drive to Bacchus Marsh and from there it is a very short hop.
