It appears that the Ballarat committee member of the Regional Transport Advisory Group Judy Verlin, has already pre-determined the outcome of the Regional Public Transport Plan, by inferring the use of buses for country commuters over passenger rail.
Bus use for long distance travel has had its day and her suggestion, reveals just how inadequate and out of touch Judy Verlin is with regards to the transport needs of country Victorians, beyond the limitations of her insular knowledge and parochial attitude towards what is best for Ballarat.
This prevailing attitude of Judy Verlin should automatically disqualify her from being a member of the Regional Transport Advisory Group and I call upon Jacinta Allan to withdraw her position in the group.
