Tractors and trucks were used to block central Werribee last night as locals gathered to protest a State Government plan to dump toxic soil in their area.
The government plans to use a Wyndham Vale rail yard to dump contaminated soil from the West Gate Tunnel project.
While it's meant to be a temporary solution, there is no word yet on where the soil will eventually end up although Bacchus Marsh residents are concerned it could be there.
It's believed a site near the Ballarat to Melbourne rail line is being considered.
