“At a recent press conference it was noted by Transport Department Director-General Alec Moemi, that Prasa was set to enter into negotiations with Stadler Rail (..) to purchase the remaining Afro 4000’s. These are to be used specifically for their long-distance passenger service.”
The last time we reported about these locomotives was September 2019. Back then, six Afro 4000s were put up for auction. Bids can still be placed, the deadline is 07.05.2020.
