Statement from Ixion Model Railways Ltd
My next, and final step on the GP mill project (at least for a while) was to finish the scratchbuilt pulp tank. I constructed the tank using three Scotch tape spools. Rather than using styrene on the ends of the tank, I used cardstock.
I glued a connector pipe on.
Some paint and a brake wheel and it’s about done.
It’s home on the layout will be in between the buildings. Paint will come soon.
With as much of the mill done as I could handle in a week, I turned my attention to preparing to scratchbuild Dubrey’s Service. I did not have drawings of the structure, so I estimated the measurements using google maps.
I sketched the plans on the computer.
I also started preparing a DPM kit for construction.
That’s all for this layout update. -Harrison
