Statement from Ixion Model Railways Ltd
Wow. It’s been three years since I started writing this blog. As I look back over the past three years, the more I go back the more I cringe but I also realize how much I’ve learned since then, from experience and also some local modelers and railfans. Before I start turning back the clock (don’t forget to literally on November 1st), I want to thank everyone who’s commented on my posts, talked to me at train shows or trackside, and followed my crazy adventures and projects. Some specific people I would like to thank are George Bissell, Phil Erickson, Fred Gemmill, Ian Mackellar, Bill Rooke, Gideon S (my editor/co-author), Michael Shipp, and of course my family.
Ok, with that out of the way, let’s go WAY back to November 3rd, 2017, the date of my first layout post. Here’s my “layout”:
Pretty Rough, Huh?
Let’s jump ahead exactly one year:
And then almost another year later in late October 2019:
To be honest, I haven’t really done a whole lot on my layout this past year, partly due to lack of motivation from no train shows and partly because I was busy with rebuilding a module and other projects. I did, however, rebuild the GP mill complex:
In another month I’ll look back on this past year in more detail. I hope you all have enjoyed following my progress these past three years, and hopefully the next three years and more. -Harrison
