Inland rail a trifecta for Toowoomba region: mayor
Weekend WIP! Tearing up the tracks to the downtown area on my layout, Trenton Subdivisionin N scale. The area was too crowded, removing some of the sidings, opening up some space and adding additional feeder wires. Less is more!
The reduced plan will have a passenger station and express office on the runaround track, the textile warehouse and the Mott’s Clamato plant each have a siding. The siding for the local engine remains in place.
The original plan for the downtown area was to have sidings for a station, cheese factory, express freight building, textile warehouse, Mott’s Clamato plant, an engine siding and a small yard.
The track in blue is the downtown area and is part of the old Central Ontario Railway taken over by CNR and runs through Trenton. The branch line crosses the main and extends to additional industrial areas.
