There were 90 sightings for this week. This is four sighting more than last week, making a total of 3402 sightings for this year to date. On day 283 last year we had recorded 4013 sightings.
We have seen five sightings on the B/G this week, which is five more that last week. On the new Mildura train timetable we saw the two down trains but we didn’t get to see the one up train due to run via Gheringhap.
Mondays 9103 train was early at 1318 with G527(PN) and Wednesdays 9107 train with G525 was also away early at 1329 after attaching 4 cement pot wagons from the gypsum siding which had been brought up on Tuesday by H1, this loco then returned light loco on the up. And the other B/G sighting was a down PN grain train on Tuesday evening with BL32.
On the S/G we have seen 14 sightings of AN class locos with eight of them being seen on the Patricks trains along with eight sightings of the XRB slave units.
On the SCT trains we saw 19 sightings of the SCT class locos along with one sighting of an SCT G class loco. We have seen only six sleeper trains this week with six 81 class sightings and another one was seen on an up light loco movement on Friday. We also saw T386 on a down light loco movement, also on Friday.
Now that P & O are no longer using QRN to pull their trains we only saw four QRN trains this week, two up and two down. On these trains we saw six sightings of LDP’s 003-004-007; three sightings of QRN’s CLP’s, two CLF sightings and two sightings of new QRN loco 6001.
On the new P & O trains we saw seven trains for the first week, all trains had VL355+VL356 doing the work up front, except for Tuesdays down train which also included B76(CF), for a total of 15 loco sightings on these trains.
Sundays up PN steel trains included C509 in its Coote Green Livery, NR89+AN1(NR)+C509(COOTE). On Monday a late running MP5 was through with NR43+NR121(PN)+NR100*(PN)+NR76*+AN1(NR) and NR100 was in its new PN livery. On Wednesday a very late down QRN train was through at 0201 with 6001(Q)+LDP004(Q)+LDP007*(Q)+CLP11(Q). And we saw the down AK-Test train with 2212 in the afternoon. Thursdays up SCT train came in with five locos, SCT001+SCT014+SCT007+SCT009+SCT005. And the down SCT train went out with a G class leading, G521(S)+SCT003+SCT007 and it included some QRN loading. Fridays up QRN train was through with, 6001(Q)+LDP004(Q)+LDP007(Q)+CLF7*.
