Kingoonya a town that once was, was not and now is! I have recently joined the Kingoonya and Areas Progress Association and wanted to tell all Gunzellers about what the town is up to.
Kingoonya Waterhole Hotel offers a wonderful spot to view the many trains that pass by. Yep you can sit on the verandah enjoying a coldie and watch the Ghan go by.
Kingoonya Waterhole Hotel has budget accommodation and great meals. There is also a caravan park and fuel outlet in town. I also hear rumours that a Kingoonya local is looking at purchasing a railway building not too far away with the idea of having it as camping accommodation.
The best way to keep up to date is to bookmark the Kingoonya website http://www.kingoonya.org.au
