Closure of Newcastle rail stations not technically a closure of whole line, State Government lawyer says

The Centre for Independent Studies is behind the report, which calls for business class services across the rail network.
Co-author Jennifer Buckingham lives in Newcastle but travels to Sydney for work.
She says she opts to drive because of the poor state of trains.
"Sitting on the F3 is a complete waste of time, it's completely unproductive but the train trip is such an unpleasant experience, it's slow and not only is it slow it's uncomfortable and I think that there is a potential to bring more people on to the train by offering a better service," she said.
