One person is dead after a train collided into a car in Gilbert Thursday afternoon.
The crash happened near Baseline and McQueen Roads around 5 p.m.
Police say the driver of a white SUV was killed in the crash.
Police identified the victim on Friday as 60-year-old Rene Zapata. Police believe Zapata was traveling in his 4-door hatchback via a small access road west of McQueen Road before he was struck by the oncoming train.
