Container logistics operator, ACFS Port Logistics, has expanded its NSW intermodal container yard by 2,000 TEU.
The expansion was made possible via a leasehold agreement with Space Urban for the Glenlee Intermodal site in South West Sydney (62km from the Port).
Effective Friday 3 September 2021, ACFS Port Logistics took possession of the property and commenced operation.
“This exciting strategic development delivers the final piece of the ACFS Zone strategy in Sydney Metro, with Facilities at Port Botany, Enfield (30km from the Port) and the iconic St Marys (60km from the Port) complimenting the three outer western Sydney ACFS 3PL Warehouse,” ACFS Port Logistics said in a statement.
“Ideally located in the Southwest of Sydney, the new intermodal facility will service the industrial precincts such as Ingleburn, Minto, Prestons, Hoxton Park and the upcoming Badgerys Creek region.
“It will also have a very strong focus as a regional export hub, providing logistical solutions for exporters with a large warehousing footprint planned for the site beyond the initial lease area. This will complement the ACFS Intermodal at St Marys (100,000sqm stage 1) which will focus on the North West of Sydney.”
