A train driver headed for Sydney literally stopped in his tracks when he saw an injured kookaburra stuck on the railway.
According to a train passenger who wrote about the incident on Facebook, the bird was looking “a bit worse for wear”.
Despite the honking horn, the iconic Aussie bird didn’t make a move to leave the tracks.
“The driver offered a *toot toot* but that bird wasn’t flying,” said the passenger.
So the driver stopped the entire train “just in time”.
