Closure of Newcastle rail stations not technically a closure of whole line, State Government lawyer says
"It's a beautiful old building... now it's unloved and we would like to see it restored," says Trevor Richards from the Morpeth Business Association.
The building that was once Morpeth's railway station is still standing, now serving as a government facility. But there are calls to have it restored and put to use by the community.
The ABC's Nat Little spoke to Trevor Richards from the Morpeth Business Association, to hear what he'd like to see happen.
