Statement from Ixion Model Railways Ltd
Following discussions and considering the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the Corris Railway has decided to cancel its Model Railway Exhibition for 2021.
The Model Railway Exhibition was due to take place at Y Plas in Machynlleth on the 28th and 29th of August.
By the nature of the event, it would have been likely that people would have grouped around layouts and trade stands, so the Corris Railway Society has decided that the safest course of action would be to cancel the event.
However, steam trains will still run from Corris station as advertised, and they have added operating days in August.
Steam trains will run on advertised Sundays as well as the 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th August and Bank Holiday Monday on the 30th August.
Trains will leave Corris at 11 am, 1 pm, and 3 pm, and tickets need booking in advance via the Corris Railway Website.
