Statement from Ixion Model Railways Ltd
Hornby, the model railway manufacturer, has shared images on the development of a brand new model of the London and North Eastern Railway (LNER) P2 Class.
One of the key new engines in Hornby’s new range of locomotives, the team at Hornby are dedicating a lot of time to researching the class and ensuring every little detail is accurate as possible.
This involves looking at both technical drawings and pictures taken when the class was in service.
So far the new range will include the following engines from the P2 class:

Although belonging to the same class, each engine differs from each other, meaning each model produced by Hornby will reflect this. “Prince of Wales” being particularly different from the six LNER build engines, following design alterations and adaptions to meet modern regulations.
