Transmashholding’s Demikhovo plant has delivered seven 11-car EP2D electric multiple-units for use around Moscow by Central Suburban Passenger Co.
The trainsets are equipped with two and six-person wear-resistant bench seats, USB chargers and HVAC incorporating air sanitisers to counteract viruses and bacteria.
Accessibility features include folding ramps, wheelchair spaces, accessible toilets and signage Braille. The EMUs comply with safety requirements for use in the Customs Union countries, with the end cars and couplers incorporating crash protection modules.
