The [TTC](http://www.ttc.ca/) is closing Line 2 **Bloor - Danforth** subway **between Kipling and Islington** stations all day Saturday, **October 9** and Sunday, **October 10**. Line 2 subway trains operate only **between Islington and Kennedy Stations** those days.
Frequent **shuttle buses partially replace subway service**.
**Both stations remain open** so you can pay fares and connect with TTC, [GO Transit](http://www.gotransit.com/) and [MiWay](https://www.mississauga.ca/miway-transit/) buses. As Islington is not yet an accessible station, if you're travelling westbound along Line 2 and require an accessible connection, exit the train at Royal York Station and ask any TTC customer service employee for directions or help.
While this section of Line 2 is closed, TTC crews are maintaining the signals and tracks. According to a TTC news release, "While the TTC does most subway maintenance at the conclusion of service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and [signal] upgrades."
