The lesser known of the two Moreton Sugar Mill lift bridges crossed over the Petrie Creek in Bli Bli.Unlike its cousin across the Maroochy River, which served many farms, along many different lines, this one only served a couple of farms at the end of the relatively short Clark's line.
While in the area researching tramway remains with my friend Andrew Palser (Maroochy River Lift Bridge Group), we decided to see if we could locate any remains of this old, long removed, bridge.Note: These remains are on private property (Rivershore Holiday Park) and access was asked for and granted.
It took a while, walking around the shoreline looking for any clues.
When nearly about to give up, I finally noticed the surviving parts seen above, then soon after the only surviving bit of rail (below).
