Further to our last Newsflash (Update 12) today we lodged an application for Protected Industrial Action
with the Fair Work Commission. Pacific National may oppose the approval of the application, in which
case the FWC will set down a date for the application to be considered.
Your Bargaining team has heard nothing from Pacific National since they advised at the last negotiating
meeting that they would be lodging an application with the Fair Work Commission for a bargaining
dispute. No notice of the application has yet been received.
Now that our application has been lodged for protected action, it is vital that members have their details
up to date and that anyone who has not yet joined but wants to participate in industrial action, that you
join the RTBU. A change of details form is attached to the newsletter so if you have changed any details
please complete the form, scan it and send it back to us.
Delegates will be setting up meetings at a local level to keep you informed, keep an eye out for
notifications and try and come along. Some of these will be via Zoom or teams so as you get maximum
opportunity to participate.
