Rail Revival Alliance to meet with Louise Staley Member for Ripon
The President of the Rail Revival Alliance, Mr Noel Laidlaw will be meeting with the member for Ripon, Louise Staley at the Carisbrook Railway Station to discuss the next stage of the restoration of the railway station. In 2014 the Rail Revival Alliance ran a successful social media campaign to have the heritage railway stations of Carisbrook and Newstead restored after years of neglect of these valuable railway infrastructure.
The next stage of the restoration of the Carisbrook Railway Station, is to have the internal structures of the station repaired so that the station can become a meeting place for the community.
The Rail Revival Alliance considers this to be a continuing part of their strategy to have the rail line between Castlemaine and Maryborough reopened and to create the Bendigo to Geelong Regional Rail Link.
