Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and Railway Interchange’s global scope, “We are ultimately unable to guarantee a safe and successful event that would meet the goals and expectations of our exhibitors, attendees, and other industry partners,” the organizing associations wrote in a message on the event website.
“Our top priority remains the health and safety of our attendees, exhibitors, and staff.”
The biennial event—originally scheduled for Sept. 26-29, 2021—will now take place Sept. 30-Oct. 3 in Indianapolis, Ind.
Railway Interchange’s exhibition showcases the latest technology, services and research by members of the Railway Supply Institute (RSI), Railway Engineering-Maintenance Suppliers Association (REMSA), and Railway Systems Suppliers, Inc. (RSSI). It also features technical and educational sessions by the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association (AREMA) Annual Conference and the RSI Education & Technical Training Conference of the Coordinated Mechanical Associations (CMA).
“We thank you for your patience and support as we navigate this difficult situation and look forward to seeing everyone in person again in the future,” the organizing associations wrote.
While exhibitors and sponsors will receive additional information shortly regarding next steps, they said, other questions and concerns may be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
