SARRA has just been made aware of the Murray street railway crossing being removed in Gawler, for those of you who are not aware of the importance of this crossing, it is the gateway to the Barossa by rail.
It would appear that the Marshall Government has allowed this to happen, knowing that Tony Piccolo (Labor MP) has a special task force who are investigating on a return Barossa Tourist Train if elected in 2022, this is further destruction, and dismantling of the Barossa line such as Kromers Crossing earlier this year by the then transport minister Stefan Knoll, we are at present trying to get more information.
However this would appear to be another deliberate act by the Liberal party in making sure the Barossa never sees another train, passenger or otherwise, giving another kick in the guts to tourism and businesses who have been doing it tough during the pandemic
