Steam locomotive No.45562 Alberta will be back in steam on the mainline and will be in York and Seamer on Thursday 24th June 2021.
The Jubilee locomotive is hauling the York to Scarborough leg of the Scarborough Spa Express, which originates in Carnforth.
The heritage diesels will depart Carnforth at 07:40am and will stop at Hellifield (08:32), Skipton (08:53), Keighley (09:09), Shipley (09:20), and Woodlesford (09:49) on their way to York Holgate Loop, where the diesels are swapped for 45562 Alberta.
The steam locomotive will depart York at approximately 11:26 am.

The railtour will then leave York, bound for the Scarborough, where it will steam through Malton (12:03) and Seamer (12:23) before arriving at Scarborough at 12:31.
After around 4 hours at the seaside town, 45562 Alberta will depart Scarborough, steaming through Seamer (16:49) and Malton (17:13) before arriving at York at 17:49, where the steam locomotive is taken off the train and is replaced by diesel locomotives.
From York, the diesel locomotives will head back to Carnforth via Woodlesford (19:18), Shipley (20:06), Keighley (20:17), Skipton (20:33), and Hellifield (20:54) where it will then arrive back at its destination of Carnforth at 21:46.
