Sri Lanka Railways has decided to cancel 8 long-distance express/intercity express trains from May 1st, 2021 due to low occupancy amid the surge in Covid 19 cases. Below is the list of trains:
Passengers who booked tickets for Denuwara Menike ICE train will be able to travel on Podi Menike Express train(1005/1006) on 01, 02, 08, 13, 14 and 15 of May 2021 using their tickets. Podi Menike Express train(1005/1006) will leave Colombo Fort at 6.30 am on above mentioned dates.
