More than 500 car parking spaces are now available to passengers at the station, with improved safety features including lighting and CCTV. Two new access points to the station car park have also been created, off Sugargum Drive between Oakwood Crescent and Mumm Street, and via Rossack Drive.
The main entrance to the station has been transformed, with a new forecourt, drop-off zone, bike storage and upgraded car parking spaces providing more options how passengers drive, walk or cycle to the station.
The new second platform and extra track at Waurn Ponds Station allows trains to pass each other in this section, enabling more Geelong services to be extended to and from Waurn Ponds and helping to improve service reliability.
