Australian National broad gauge locos 961/CK2/846 wait to depart the Penrice Quarry near Angaston, South Australia with the daily limestone train form the quarry to the soda ash works at Port Adelaide - Saturday 2 July 1994.
All three locos had a bit of tale to tell, but 961 leading had been re-painted the previous year into a special livery to run tourist trains around South Australia. The initiative was not a success and 961 was consigned to working freight trains for the rest of its career.
The stone train from the Barossa Valley stopped running in mid-2014.
