Australian National locos ALF18/CLP11/CLP17 line up at Dry Creek North yard (Adelaide) waiting to depart with 7347 express goods to Alice Springs on the evening of 29 January 1994.
All three locomotives had been given life-extending rebuilds by Morrison Knudsen Australia at Whyalla during the previous twelve months.
ALF18 named 'City of Port Pirie' was formerly AL21 and from memory this was its first revenue earning run after rebuild.
