In January 1987, ALCo 'World' 965 passes the searchlight signals at Balhannah in the Adelaide Hills with the weekly Strathalbyn freight service.
The 'Strath goods' was not much longer for this world and the branch from Mount Barker to Strathalbyn was closed, though is now the domain of the Victor Harbor Tourist Railway.
