With the disused turntable at Angaston in the foreground, Australian National and former South Australian Railways ALCo DL500B no.961 has just uncoupled from a special passenger train to the infrequently visited Barossa Valley location.
The loco is decked out in the ill fated 'Explorer' tourist train livery which only operated a handful of trips during its short existence.
The turntable is still there, but Angaston yard has been disused for several years and is now the terminus of a dreaded 'rail trail'.
